From Cotton Candy Pink to Deep Red: The Stage of Life and Roots

I was once a little girl who grew up believing wholeheartedly in life’s coincidences and miracles. Right in the heart of neighborhood street culture, growing up with the innocent sweetness of cotton candy pink and the pure, exuberant joy of fresh bread stuffed with cheese and ripe tomatoes...

As the river of time flowed, that fleeting pink surrendered to a deep, resonant red. Red is a color of multiple languages: it speaks of life, for it is blood; it speaks of romance and passion, for it is a rose; it speaks of fear and audacity, for it is fire... Perhaps white is the only other color capable of cradling so many contradictory sentiments in its bosom. And yes, my life had turned intensely red—swallowing the fairy-tale miracles and sweet coincidences of my childhood into its fiery blaze.

At times, I feel as though I stepped right out of a Sherlock Holmes narrative. The people who grazed my life, the academies I attended, the workplaces I navigated, the lessons instilled in me, and every turning point that prepared me for today... At first, it all appears to be your own design; but when you arrange the events in chronological sequence, you pause and realize: Perhaps you yourself are the very script.

As you endeavor to piece together the puzzle scattered before you all on your own, every step closer to the grand picture reveals fresh, unplaced fragments, and the trial never truly concludes. That is precisely why I miss looking directly into people's eyes to speak, breathing their actual presence in the same room, away from the sterile chill of screens and virtuality. No matter how deeply digital existence colonizes our daily life, my soul still longs for that old-world warmth, the unpretentious honesty of fresh bread, cheese, and tomatoes in the neighborhood alley.

A Sapling Holding Fast to Its Roots

Yet, I regard myself as a well-nurtured sapling standing firmly in its soil. As long as I remain faithful to my roots, no gale can uproot me; I will inevitably mature into a tree that bears fruit. And so, wearing my bold red lipstick and matching red nail polish, I walk with head held high through the shadows and uncertainties.

There will always be those around you who treat you as though you know nothing, measuring you strictly through the narrow aperture of their own small windows. But the objective is never to wage war against each spectator. The real triumph is to cling steadfastly to your roots and consciously choose your own path.

For an actor on stage, attempting to capture the pulse of every single person in the hall simultaneously is the most seductive trap. If you fall into the illusion of trying to please every gaze, your lines stumble and the soul of your performance evaporates. All you must do is close your eyes and play—just as in genuine life. When you bring that same uncalculated authenticity to the stage lights that you carry when stepping out to the corner grocer in the morning, you become a true artist.

Remaining Within the Play

Sometimes you find yourself amidst a battlefield; sometimes in the quiet depths of an endless forest; yet through it all, you remain inside the play. The scenery shifts, the costumes alter, the fellow actors rotate; but the audience is perpetually there. Do not be afraid: continue living, and continue playing your role with all the authenticity your heart can muster.

Every once in a while, pause and gaze back at the road traveled: you will be astonished. Neither the towering triumphs of your journey nor its most jarring crossroads were solely your blueprint. You were merely making choices, and those choices inevitably deposited you before doorways you never consciously selected.

Intricate, yes... yet pulsing with vitality. For humanity, there is truly no other way to remain fruitful, grounded, and alive.
